Hi there!!
Hi, I’m Willy, the person behind Gator & Goods. And this is my brand!! It started with me getting a master’s degree in software engineering (big mistake), realizing I hated it (bigger mistake), deciding to say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ to my student loans (biggest mistake) and risk it all to do something I love.
When I first told my mom I was leaving my job to start a clothing brand, she wasn't that happy ("wasn't that happy" as in I probably shouldn't call home for a while). And this is exactly how the first collection, Meet the Bones’, came to be! My mom loves skeletons so much that Halloween decorations are up year-round, and thankfully she accepted the finished designs as a peace offering. What started as a quirky tribute has grown into a universe of skeletons with their own stories, lore, and adventures. Designing the Bones’ and bringing their world to life has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey, and I’m excited to keep expanding them and other collections with new characters, stories, and even animations.
The name Gator & Goods is personal too. My friends started calling me “Gator” for some reason or another (apparently it’s from The Other Guys, though I still haven’t seen it), but that was eventually amended to "Gaytor" after I came out. The nickname stuck, and it's only felt right to carry that identity into my brand—a reflection of my journey, pride, and growth.
Building this business has been a wild, scary ride, but it’s also the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever done. I’m 100% committed to creating pieces that are as fun and freeing to wear as they are to create. I want my designs to bring joy and individuality to your wardrobe. Whether it’s a skeleton delivering mail or drinking and flying a plane (Activity Not Endorsed by Gator & Goods™), I hope each piece sparks a smile and makes getting dressed just a little more fun.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by! Dive into the collections and find a Bone that speaks to you. If you have any questions or just want to say hi, feel free to reach out. Welcome to the Gator & Goods family :<)
